The approach to the church from the north All the pillars along the nave have elaborate carving at the top, this one has a sheep on it.
The interior looking towards the chancel. The church was restored in 1862 The font is Norman, it is made from greensand and is carved in high relief with foliate scrolls and birds
A memorial stone to Samuel COSSER (died 1879), his wife Ann (d.1871), daughter Emma HART and two sons Robert & William. Also Robert's  wife Jane  In the church description this font is dismissed with the words "The Victorian font is not used."
Table tomb commemorating Thomas Bennet FISHER? and others. Stone mentioning James LAMPEN (died 184(3?)), also wife and son.
In memory of George Henry, son of Henry Frederick & Hannah RIDEOUT, d.1873 These 3 stones are all to members of the Salkeld family. Robert Salkeld was rector of the parish for 46 years
This large memorial is inscribed on all four sides, one side reads:-
"Sacred to the Memory of
PHILIP SALKELD
Lieutenant of Bengal Engineers
Son of the Revd. Robt Salkeld & ELizabeth his wife of this parish
Born Octr 13 1830 at Fontmell
Died Octr 11 1857 at Delhi
Wounded Mortally in Blowing Open
The Cashmere Gate"
He was one of the very first persons to be awarded the Victoria Cross (posthumously).
Right. A general view of the village from the church yard.  The village has been the winner of the 'Best Kept Village in Dorset' competition.
