Will dated 9th February 1662, my soul bequeathed to God and my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent manner as directed by my executrix. To my daughter Elizabeth SHEPPARD I give a gold ring with some type of head on it, valued at 13 shillings. To my daughter Alice MELMOTH, £200 to be paid to her mother and used at her discretion. I give to my four youngest daughters Margaret, Elinor, Jane and Mary £100 and if my wife be now with child, I give to that child or children £100 also. To my son William, and his wife Anne 13 shillings. To my son George, the living from Okeford and the leasehold lands in Somersetshire at Sock Dennis. To my son John, the living at Shillingstone. To my son Henry at the time when his apprenticeship expires, the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds And the farmer LOGAN to be paid from my living at Milton Abbas . Excecutrix to be given the sum of forty pounds each I give unto my two kinswomen Anna and Joan MONWELL or MOWWELL of Shillingstone the sum of £5 to be divided between them. Also I give unto my cousin Richard MOWWELL (MONWELL) one shilling and to Thomas DAINES 5 shillings and I give 20 shillings for buying a plaque in the church of Milborne St Andrew. I give 20 shilllings for the poor of the parish and to my dear and loving wife Margaret the sole Executor of my will I give £100.

Addendum, if my wife marries another man the farm is to be sold, my debts paid and the money to be divided equally amongst my children
