THE GWEN TRENT VESTRY THIS
SCREEN AND DOOR WERE
CREATED IN 1988 BY
CHARLES MORTIMER AND
ANGUS HARRIS DEVOTED
MEMBERS OF THIS CHURCH AND
FUNDED BY THE GWEN TRENT TRUST This
memorial plaque is engraved in stone and lies flat, in front of the
Vestry door. The
Gwen Trent bequest is held in the gift of the Rector and Church Wardens
and her generous legacy has already provided some much needed facilities
for the Church. She came to the village from her Welsh home for the
benefit of her health and stayed almost a lifetime. The screen and door
was built in 1988 using funds from her bequest.
